Spotlight: ‘Scream: The TV Series’ Mask and Costume

The classic Ghostface mask made famous by Wes Craven’s meta slasher masterpiece Scream (and its three sequels) was nearly iconic even before the films, as Fun World sold the white and black distortion of Munch’s The Scream painting in stores for years before it became synonymous with a horror killer, but its current television counterpart is a new creation just for the MTV series, which is currently in its second season on MTV.

Though the term “Ghostface” has not been mentioned yet on the show (wouldn’t that be a cool reference), the new killer(s) adopted a slightly more surgical-looking updated look for the new Scream mask, also replacing the movie villain’s long flowing black robe with a less flashy simple dark rain poncho.

As Season 2 of Scream: The TV Series resumes on MTV this week following a short break, we figured you may want to get your killer costume ready.

The new officially licensed Scream: The TV Series “Brandon James” mask is available as a lightweight strap-on face mask from Fun World, the same company the still produces the original Ghostface mask. You can order yours for a very reasonable price of $11.99 online from Trendy Halloween here.

For the full costume, Trendy Halloween also has you covered, with an adult version for $36.99 available for purchase online here, and even a kid-sized smaller version priced at $29.99 for children here.
