13 Nights of Halloween 2016 Schedule Announced

When the former ABC Family Channel became the new Freeform, now aimed more at “young adults”, many wondered if the network’s popular 13 Nights of Halloween event programming would continue, and we are happy to report that it is in fact back for another 13 nights of Halloween-themed movies and specials, and the complete 2016 schedule has just been announced.

This year’s 13 Nights of Halloween will begin as usual on October 19 and run through Halloween, October 31.

Highlights of the 2016 lineup include the network television premiere of R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls, airing at 7pm on Wednesday, October 19, as well as classic favorites like Hocus Pocus, Sleepy Hollow, The Addams Family, Dark Shadows, and Toy Story of Terror, among others.

This will mark the 18th year of 13 Nights of Halloween, but this year is the first since the network underwent a brand transformation from ABC Family to Freeform in January.

Since when is “Hunger Games” Halloween-related? Am I missing something? No Beetlejuice? No Nightmare Before Christmas? No Corpse Bride? This is the crappiest “Halloween” playlist ever.
