John Carpenter’s ‘Halloween’ Returns to Theaters for 40th Anniversary

It should come as no surprise and certainly expected in this Year of the Shape, but it has now been confirmed that John Carpenter’s 1978 classic Halloween will return to theaters this fall to celebrate the landmark film’s 40th anniversary, starting on September 27.

The 2018 re-release is presented by CineLife Entertainment and Trancas International Films.

The original Halloween has returned to limited theaters every year since 2012, becoming a bit of a tradition, but this year’s re-release is more monumental than ever, with the ongoing 40th anniversary celebration and the upcoming new Halloween movie, a direct sequel to Carpenter’s, arriving in theaters on October 19.
