Alan Howarth Announces ‘Halloween 6’ Expanded Double CD!

Today is composer Alan Howarth’s (Halloween II-6) birthday, but he gave the best present to fans today, announcing via Facebook that he is currently putting the final touches of an expanded double CD release of his soundtrack of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers!
The best news is that this release will feature not only Howarth’s full soundtrack from the theatrical version of Curse, it will also include the never-before-released alternate soundtrack from the infamous “Producers Cut” of the film, which is being released for the first time as part of the Halloween: The Complete Collection 15-disc Deluxe Edition Blu-ray set next month.

The composer and frequent John Carpenter collaborator posted the following message on Facebook today: “Thank you to all for the Birthday Wishes. As a gift , I am in the studio finishing up the Halloween 6 Double soundtrack CD. It will have the un-released original producers cut score as well as an expanded H6 theatrical release for a double CD. Look for it in Sept.”
Available for the first time, this release will include the soundtrack from both the Producers Cut and an Expanded Theatrical soundtrack that utilized the classic Carpenter themes while featuring many new original sonic landscapes, including electric guitars, drums, and a rock influence.
You can pre-order the double CD from Howarth himself here.
