Halloween Returns writer Patrick Melton (Feast, Saw IV-VII, The Collector) has been generously answering fan questions via his Twitter account, where he has assured that the project is still moving forward and that they will be “hopefully shooting fall for fall”.

Just yesterday, in response to a fan question asking for any updates on when production will begin, Melton tweeted back, “Hoping for fall.”

This comes after a prior tweet earlier this month which revealed that a new draft of the script was recently completed.

Halloween Returns director and co-writer Marcus Dunstan (The Collector, The Collection) also responded to a fan question via his own Twitter account yesterday, teasing “A few more tricks to figure out before the treats unleash!”
