Jamie Lee Curtis Gets Golden Globe Nomination for ‘Scream Queens’

Fox’s horror comedy series Scream Queens aired its first season finale this week, but the big news today is that the show’s star and actual scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis was announced this morning as a nominee for Best Actress in a Comedy Television Series at the upcoming 2016 Golden Globe Awards.

In related horror TV news, American Horror Story: Hotel is nominated for Best Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, and this season’s Horror Story star Lady Gaga is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

Rounding out the notable horror nods, Eva Green is also nominated for Best Actress in a Drama TV Series for Showtime’s awesome Penny Dreadful, and I am especially happy to see Alicia Vikander nominated in the Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture category for her amazing performance in Ex Machina, easily one of my top five favorite movies of the year.

Lady Gaga is The Countess on ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’.
