Charles Cyphers Announces Final Convention Appearance
The great Charles Cyphers will make what has been announced as his final convention appearance at Monster-Mania in New Jersey this summer.
In addition to his iconic portrayal of Haddonfield Sheriff Leigh Brackett in Halloween and Halloween II, Cyphers has also starred in many of our other favorite films from director John Carpenter, including Assault on Precinct 13, The Fog, and Escape From New York.
It was announced last night that Charles Cyphers will be among the guests at Monster-Mania Con this August and that the event will be his last public convention appearance.
Also announced last night, our pal Tom Atkins (Halloween III) who co-starred with Cyphers in Carpenter classics The Fog and Escape From New York, is also coming to Monster-Mania.
Though Paul Rudd cancelled, this year’s Monster-Mania Con is already boasting a pretty impressive lineup of horror icons, including a Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers cast reunion featuring Rudd’s co-stars Marianne Hagan, Susan Swift, Mariah O’Brien, J.C. Brandy, Devin Gardner, and George P. Wilbur.
Freddy Krueger himself Robert Englund has also been announced, joining a reunion of cast members from A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 4: The Dream Master, including Lisa Wilcox, Tuesday Knight, Andras Jones, and Danny Hassel.
Fright Night stars Chris Sarandon (The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Stephen Geoffreys are also confirmed guests, as well as Adrienne Barbeau (Tales of Halloween, The Fog, Escape From New York), C.J. Graham (Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives), Tara Reid (Urban Legend, American Pie), former Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo, and many more.
Monster-Mania Con is happening August 12-14 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Tickets on sale now here.
