‘Clown’ Trailer Takes Costume Horror To New Level

From producer Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel), Clown has been on our radar for a few years now, as it promises the terrifying tale of a man trapped inside a possessed clown costume and then transformed into a murderous child-hunting demon, and with the film finally about to be released in the U.S. this month, we have a new trailer to give us all a taste of what to expect.

Written by Christopher Ford and Jon Watts, directed by Watts (who is about to direct a little movie for Marvel called Spider-Man: Homecoming) and produced by Roth, Clown stars Peter Stormare, Laura Allen, Andy Powers, and Elizabeth Whitmere.

From the official synopsis: Clown is a story of a loving father who dons a clown outfit and makeup to perform at his son’s sixth birthday, only to later discover that the costume – red nose and wig included– will not come off and his own personality changes in a horrific fashion. To break the curse of the evil outfit, the father must make grim choices with his own family facing danger.

Clown will arrive in limited theaters and will be available On Demand starting on June 17.
