Tamara Glynn is Among ‘The Possessed’ in New Horror Film
Our good friend and Halloween 5 star Tamara Glynn is returning to the screen this year in the new supernatural horror film The Possessed, joining other notable genre favorites in what promises to be a mind-bending trip into terror.
Tamara Glynn has officially signed on to play “Dr. Tabitha LeVay” in the upcoming production from Harvest Moon Motion Pictures.
Tamara tells Halloween Daily News, “I hit it off with Shawn Anthony, The Possessed director/writer immediately. Before the conversation was over, we were finishing each others sentences and that was huge for me. I had an innate trust in him and The Possessed script. All of the key elements were plainly there before my eyes.”
Additional cast members confirmed so far also include Lisa Wilcox (Nightmare on Elm Street 4 and 5), Bonnie Aarons (The Conjuring 2), Ricco Ross (Aliens,Wishmaster) and Jason Lively (Night of the Creeps, European Vacation), as well as Jessica Felice (The Witch of Blackwood), Billy Blair (Machete,Jonah Hex), John Wells, , Tyler Lueck, and Alex Ruiz.
Speaking of the high caliber of her co-stars, Tamara continues, “Anytime you mesh talent of this magnitude from some of the most successful franchises of all time – Halloween, The Conjuring, Nightmare on Elm Street, Aliens – that’s all I will say. We are all about the fans and we know first hand what they want. With The Possessed, we will deliver, giving fans everything they want, and that is exciting.”
The official synopsis: A supernatural thriller set in New Orleans; The Possessed focuses on the story of Ruby Blackwood, a stunning, yet sardonic private detective who holds a dark secret. Ruby is a Symbion, a human vessel that has a demon that resides within. With no chance of exorcising the demon inside her, Ruby chooses to unleash Lilith in order to help the church battle the armies of darkness that are taking over the city, but will she become what she has sworn to fight, as she begins to lose more of herself as Lilith emerges? Hell will be raised as this epic battle of good and evil wages in the Big Easy.
After her memorable role as Samantha Thomas in 1989’s Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, she took a lengthy break from acting to concentrate on her family, returning to the screen in 2015 in Patrick Rea’s award winning short film Howl of a Good Time. Her performance in Howl garnered her the Best Actress award at the Cornwall Film Festival on Halloween night 2015.
The Possessed is written and directed by Shawn Anthony and is set for an October 2017 release.
Filming will begin on location in New Orleans, Louisiana before the end of January.
