#WiHM8: Female Directors Deliver ‘XX’ Horror Anthology

As part of our ongoing celebration of the 8th Annual Women In Horror Month, today we are showcasing what looks to be one of the best genre movies of 2017, the horror anthology XX, a collection of short films from four female directors.

The shorts that make up XX include Jovanka Vuckovic’s The Box, Roxanne Benjamin’s Don’t Fall, Karyn Kusama’s Only Living Son, and Birthday Party from singer Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent), making her directorial debut.

Each short film segment of XX is not only directed by women, but they are all also produced by, written by, and starring women.

The film stars Angela Trimbur (Halloween II), Natalie Brown, Melanie Lynskey, Breeda Wool, Sheila Vand, and Christina Kirk.

From Magnet Releasing and XYZ Films, XX opens in select theaters and On Demand, Amazon, and iTunes on February 17.
