‘The Houses October Built 2’ Coming September 2017!
In a surprise announcement today, we are happy to report that the 2014 extreme haunt-themed found footage horror film The House October Built is getting a sequel, which is already finished and set for release this September.
Original director/co-writer/star Bobby Roe returns, as does his ensemble cast of the first film, including Brandy Schaefer, Zack Andrews, Mikey Roe, and Jeff Larson, according to Deadline.
Written by Andrews and Roe, the sequel picks up the five haunted-house enthusiast friends still trying to recover from the trauma of being kidnapped last Halloween by the Blue Skeleton — a group who takes “extreme haunt” to another level. They decide to face their fears in order to move on and go back out on the road to find more haunted houses, but signs of the Blue Skeleton of course start appearing again.
A September theatrical and VOD release is in the works.
The film’s official Instagram and Twitter accounts also just posted an ominous tease, stating that “It was never an ending. It was an intermission.” Check it out, as well as the first two images from the sequel below!
