#HHN27: ‘Saw’ Maze Brings Jigsaw’s Games to Halloween Horror Nights

Universal Studios theme parks continue to unveil the horror franchises to be featured at the upcoming season of Halloween Horror Nights, today announcing the addition of a new maze, Saw: The Games of Jigsaw, coming to both the Hollywood and Orlando parks.

According to Universal Orlando’s Patrick Braillard: Jigsaw’s return in our brand new haunted house—SAW: The Games of Jigsaw—allows us to place our guests into the twisted situations that fans of the film series have grown to love throughout the years. And while there are nods to the Halloween Horror Nights 19 house, make no mistake: this is not that house.

During concept, we were very excited to examine the evolution of Jigsaw in the new film and how that might affect the guests’ experience. Spoiler alert: You’ll be part of a living preview of a trap featured in the new film Jigsaw coming out Oct. 27.

Also, placing the house in a different location this time around gave us another way to elevate the scares. SAW: The Games of Jigsaw functions as one large trap. You’ll be funneled through claustrophobic, visceral experiences and be a part of the most terrifying “games” ever devised on screen. Trials that you may be familiar with and some that are completely unknown to you— sounds fun.

The game has changed. Evolved.

It was previously announced that American Horror Story is coming to Orlando with characters from three of the anthology show’s seasons, Asylum (Season 2), Coven (Season 3), and last year’s Roanoke (Season 6), and a different Roanoke-specific maze is coming Hollywood, as well as the Titans of Terror Tram, Ash vs Evil Dead and The Shining at both parks.

You can check out the official announcement video below, and keep watching Halloween Daily News as we bring you more updates on this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at both Universal Studios parks in Orlando and Hollywood, as they are announced in the coming weeks.

Halloween Horror Nights takes place at Universal Studios in Orlando and Hollywood on select nights from Sept. 15 through Nov. 4, 2017.
