‘Michael Jackson’s Halloween’ Animated Special Premiere Date Announced

CBS is getting into the spirit of the season this year with Michael Jackson’s Halloween, a new one-hour animated special featuring the music the pop icon, premiering on the network on October 27 at 8pm EST.

The Halloween special will feature Jackson’s acclaimed music as its soundtrack, along with the voice talents of Kiersey Clemons, Lucas Till, Lucy Liu, Christine Baranski, Alan Cumming, George Eads, Brad Garrett, and Jim Parsons.

The official synopsis: Created and produced by Optimum Productions, the Michael Jackson company now owned by his estate, Michael Jackson’s Halloween follows millennials Vincent (Till) and Victoria (Clemons), who meet “accidentally” on Halloween night and find themselves, along with Ichabod the dog, at a mysterious hotel located at 777 Jackson Street called This Place Hotel. Once inside, Vincent and Victoria are sent on an adventure culminating in a spectacular dance finale featuring an animated Michael Jackson.

The holiday special will come one month after this week’s September 29 release of Michael Jackson’s Scream, a Halloween-appropriate compilation album that collects thirteen of Jackson’s “scariest” songs on CD and vinyl. The compilation also includes the five-song mash-up “Blood On The Dance Floor X Dangerous (The White Panda Mash-Up)”
