‘Stranger Things 2’ Clip Goes Trick or Treating with Michael Myers

The second season of the Netflix series Stranger Things, officially being referred to as Stranger Things 2, is coming this month, as the new season is set to pickup on Halloween in 1984, about a year after the events of first season. Following the release of an awesome new poster featuring a creepy pumpkin patch (“The Pumpkin Patch” is the title of one of the new episodes), we now have a new clip that features yet another series nod to Michael Myers!

As you’ll recall, the show previously referenced Michael Myers in its first season, but this time we get our gang of kids trick or treating as the Ghostbusters when they are spooked by someone wearing a very familiar mask.

The clip was discovered by a Reddit reader after he beat the 8-bit Stranger Things game that Netflix released online a few days ago.

The official synopsis: It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

Stranger Things 2 premieres on Netflix on Friday, Oct. 27.
