Halloween Theme Park Slasher ‘Hell Fest’ First Look Revealed

We finally have our first official look at Hell Fest, the upcoming horror film set at a theme park during Halloween, where a night of fun turns deadly as a costumed killer begins slaying unsuspecting patrons who believe that it’s all part of the festivities.

Entertainment Weekly just debuted three official images, along with new plot details from director Gregory Plotkin.

“The film basically takes place over one night at a Halloween haunt,” Plotkin tells EW. “And not just any Halloween haunt, essentially the best of the best, which is called ‘Hell Fest.’ It follows our main protagonist Natalie (Amy Forsyth), and her best friend Brooke (Reign Edwards), and their friend Taylor (Bex Taylor-Kraus). It’s their one night at the park. The idea is, these parks are a place where people go to get scared, but there’s this masked killer who takes advantage of the anonymity of many masked characters and terrorizes our group throughout the night, all against the backdrop of these seemingly real haunts and mazes.”

UPDATE: An official teaser poster has just been released, promising “Fun going in. Hell getting out.”

The film stars Bex Taylor-Klaus (Scream: The TV Series, Arrow), Amy Forsythe, Reign Edwards, Christian James, and genre icon Tony Todd (Candyman, The Crow, Final Destination, Hatchet), directed by Gregory Plotkin (Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension; editor of Get Out, Happy Death Day) and executive produced by Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead).

Hell Fest opens in theaters on September 28.
