‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Trailer Teases Halloween Dance

Netflix unveiled the first official teaser trailer for their dark new Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comic adaptation, which includes a quick shot of a Halloween jack-o-lantern in the background of one of the more romantic scenes, suggesting that the show’s teenage heroine witch might be going to a high school Halloween dance.

The official synopsis calls the show a dark coming-of-age tale that follows Sabrina, as she wrestles to reconcile her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal while fighting evil forces.

Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men) stars as Sabrina Spellman.

Axelle Carolyn, the mastermind behind Tales of Halloween, is among the writers of the series, and it will premiere the same weekend that Stranger Things 2 launched last year, in which the first two episodes were also set around the Halloween holiday.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premieres on Netflix on October 26, 2018.
