Clay Guy Talks Creating His Signature Horror Figures [Video / Photo Gallery]

The largest event of its kind in the Carolinas, the Mad Monster Party horror convention returned to Charlotte, North Carolina, Feb. 22-24, 2019, featuring an amazing lineup of celebrity guests, thousands of enthusiastic fans in attendance, epic cosplay, and tons of talented vendors, including our friend, Barry “The Clay Guy” Crawford.

The Clay Guy has been staple at horror conventions throughout the east coast for the last three decades, and we always look forward to seeing what new icons of terror he has sculpted in in his signature style each time we get to see him. He has created hundreds of figures, but he said it all started with Michael Keaton’s Batman and Jack Nicholson’s Joker from Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman.

At Mad Monster Party 2019, Crawford debuted his Art the Clown figure, and Art himself, David Howard Thornton, loved it and even posed for some photos with his likeness, which you can see below.

You can watch our exclusive video interview with Barry “The Clay Guy” Crawford and view our photo gallery of some most stunning creations below, and then be sure to check out his official website at ClayGuy.com.
