Godzilla Cosplay Wins Mad Monster 2019 Costume Contest [Video / Photo Gallery]
The largest event of its kind in the Carolinas, the Mad Monster Party horror convention returned to Charlotte, North Carolina, Feb. 22-24, 2019, featuring an amazing lineup of celebrity guests, tons of talented vendors, thousands of enthusiastic fans in attendance, and and of course some truly epic cosplay.
The annual Mad Monster Party Costume Contest this year was again sponsored in part by Halloween Daily News.
This year’s first place winner is Mike Addams, of Aberdeen, North Carolina, who towered above the audience with his eight-foot tall recreation of Godzilla from Toho’s 2016Â Shin Godzilla. This was actually only Mike’s first official costume build for a convention, but he told us that he’s definitely hooked now, and his next will probably be King Ghidorah.
