‘Sharp Candy’ to Premiere at 2019 Halloween International Film Festival
The 4th Annual Halloween International Film Festival returns to Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, October 3-5, 2019 with over 40 films from around the world, including the World Premiere of the new Halloween anthology series Sharp Candy.
In addition to 36 Official Selections, we are also excited to present special invitational Showcase Selections, including the World Premiere of the first three episodes of the streaming series Sharp Candy, with creator/writer/director/actor Dylan R. Nix in attendance for a Q&A following the screening.
Read on for a brief synopsis of each episode:
- Episode 1: Janey’s Night – A young girl named is terrorized on Halloween night.
- Episode 2: The Pawnbroker – A lonely pawnbroker has a special Halloween day sale going on, but it won’t just be the prices that are slashed tonight.
- Episode 3: Tohell Road – A brother and sister are on their way to a Halloween rave when they take a short cut and wind up in a hellish nightmare.

Sharp Candy will have its World Premiere at the 2019 Halloween Film Festival, screening on Friday night, Oct. 5th, with series creator Dylan R. Nix in attendance.
Additional Showcase Selections screening during the 2019 festival include the World Premiere of the segment A Samhain Liturgy from the upcoming sequel 10/31 Part II on Thursday night, Oct. 3rd, and a special theatrical screening of Candy Corn on Saturday night, Oct. 5th.
