‘Hocus Pocus’ Virtual Cast Reunion Set for Halloween Eve
The Sanderson Sisters of Disney’s 1993 family Halloween classic Hocus Pocus are set to participate in a virtual reunion for charity, happening on Halloween Eve.
Described as “the hottest pandemic-safe Halloween event of the year,” In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover will feature the film’s stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, “and spectacularly spooky guests,” all to raise funds for New York Restoration Project’s critical environmental and social justice work.
New York Restoration Project was founded in 1995 by Bette Midler.
In the beloved film, three witch sisters from 1693 are resurrected three centuries later in Salem,Massachusetts on Halloween night, and it is up to two teenagers, a young girl, and an immortal cat to put an end to their reign of terror once and for all.
The cast includes Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson sisters, as well as Omri Katz, Thora Birch, Vinessa Shaw, and Doug Jones (The Shape of Water) as Billy Butcherson, directed by Kenny Ortega from a script by Mick Garris and Neil Cuthbert, based on a story by Garris and David Kirschner.
A sequel is currently in development for Disney Plus.
