Cathy Podewell Returns to Horror in ‘Reunion from Hell’ Trailer

Cathy Podewell (Night of the Demons) returns to the horror genre in the new independent film Reunion from Hell, the first official teaser trailer for which was released this week.

The official synopsis: Since his father’s passing, Riley Conner has not returned to his hometown. But when the news of a murdered friend comes to light, Riley is forced to return home, unknowing that his life, along with those of his friends, will soon be in grave danger. As the body count rises, Riley discovers that the killer has a very specific plan in mind while hunting down his former classmates. It’s a race against time as Riley must learn the identity of the killer, before all those he cares deeply for are dead. It’s going to be one hell of a reunion.

Cathy Podewell of course stars as Judy in the 1998 Halloween horror classic Night of the Demons, and Reunion from Hell director and co-star Hayden Newman tells HDN that Podewell wrapped her filming on the actual 32nd anniversary of the theatrical release of Night of the Demons. Newman adds that Podewell’s appearance is not merely a cameo, but she is in fact very much one of the leads of the new film.

Newman also tells HDN exclusively that, while it is never directly stated in the film, it does take place in October, not long before Halloween.

Reunion from Hell is scheduled for release in the summer of 2021.
