Hell Comes to Halloween 1992 in ‘The Barn Part II’ Trailer

One of our favorite Halloween horror films of the 2010s is definitely writer/director Justin M. Seaman’s The Barn, an insanely fun ’80s throwback that introduced three new icons of our favorite day (read our review here), and today the official trailer for the sequel, The Barn Part II, has just been released online.

First announced back in 2018,The Barn: Part II takes place three years after the events of the first film and continues to follow final girl Michelle, who is now in college. Seaman tells Bloody-Disgusting, “She is still plagued with the questions of what truly happened after what she believes was only a ritualistic attack that killed all her friends. With the ban on Halloween lifted in her hometown, the sorority girls of Gamma Tau Psi place Michelle and her best friend Heather in charge of the annual haunted house. Unfortunately for Michelle some uninvited trick or treaters from her past come knocking.”

While The Barn was set in 1989, the sequel takes place in 1992.

The returning cast from the first film includes Lexi Dripps as Michelle, Mitchell Musolino, Will Stout, Ari Lehman (Friday the 13th), and Linnea Quigley (Night of the Demons), with genre icons Lloyd Kaufman, Joe Bob Briggs, Diana Prince (The Last Drive In), and Doug Bradley (Hellraiser) joining in the mayhem.

The Barn Part II is currently in post-production with a planned release in 2022. You can pre-order the Blu-ray/DVD and more through the film’s Indiegogo campaign here.

Seaman originally wrote the first film when he was nine years old, and now, more than two decades later, those first ideas have become The Barn, which has played at film festivals around the world since its completion in 2015 and won numerous awards, including Best Feature and Best Halloween Film at the 2016 Halloween International Film Festival.
