‘Doctor Who’ Returns for “The Halloween Apocalypse”

Even Doctor Who is celebrating the greatest day of the year, kicking off a new six-episode season with “The Halloween Apocalypse.”

The 13th series of the long-running sci-fi show is entitled Doctor Who: Flux, and it will begin with “The Halloween Apocalypse,” premiering on BBC One on Sunday, October 31.

The official synopsis for the episode: On Halloween, all across the universe, terrifying forces are stirring. From the Arctic Circle to deep space, an ancient evil is breaking free. And in present-day Liverpool, the life of Dan Lewis (John Bishop) is about to change forever. Why is the Doctor on the trail of the fearsome Karvanista? And what is the Flux?

Jodie Whittaker returns for her third and final series as the Thirteenth Doctor, the most recent incarnation of the iconic character Doctor Who, an alien Time Lord who travels through time and space in their ship, the TARDIS, which looks like a British police box.

The upcoming season will consist of six episodes, which are set to form a single story.
