Tour ‘Halloween Kills’ Filming Locations [Video]

Halloween Kills is out now on Digital and Blu-ray, and we couldn’t resist stopping by some of the locations where shooting of the 2021 sequel took place back in the fall of 2019 when we were recently in the area, including the park where Lindsey Wallace is reunited with Michael Myers, the bar where we first catch up with the legacy characters from John Carpenter’s original 1978 film, the new Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, and more.

We stopped over in Wilmington, North Carolina in late January, during which we visited a few locations where some key scenes in Halloween Kills were shot.

At The Rusty Nail, the local bar that doubles as “Mick’s Bar” in the film, we talked to owner Sandy Williams, who revealed that HK is actually the 22nd movie to shoot in her establishment over the years, from big budget Hollywood productions to indies. She says the entire experience working with the Halloween Kills crew was a positive one, as they were top notch and beyond considerate, even if some her regular patrons got scared she was closing when they saw a new name on the sign out front.

The counter where Lonnie (Robert Longstreet), Marion (Nancy Stephens), Lindsey (Kyle Richards), and Tommy (Anthony Michael Hall) are sitting was actually built by the production for the film, and it remains in the same place today, a reminder and tribute to The Rusty Nail’s place in Haddonfield lore.

We also stopped by the historic EUE / Screen Gems Studios, where the Myers House was so faithfully recreated for the film, and also where Stu Macher’s house was recreated for Scream (2022). The massive studio is also the site of where Brandon Lee was tragically killed while filming The Crow, and has hosted numerous other well known productions since first opening in the 1980s.
