New Life-Size Jason Voorhees Animatronic Coming for Halloween 2022

Happy Friday the 13th! This is a fitting bit of news for today, as a brand new life-size Jason Voorhees animatronic appears to finally be scheduled for release for the 2022 Halloween season.

Produced by Gemmy Industries, the new Jason Voorhees animatronic will be distributed through Morris Costumes, on whose website it is currently listed with a retail price of $379.90. No dimensions are provided and an official demo video of the animated decoration in action has not been released yet.

From the single stock photo featured on Morris’ site, it appears to be Jason circa Friday the 13th Part III, as he is an adult and wearing his hockey mask, and it appears as it did when he first put it on in the third film of the franchise, still free of much of the damage to be inflicted onto it in later films. Or it could be licensed from the 2009 Friday the 13th remake.

Notably, the eyes behind the mask look rightfully disfigured, which makes me wonder if the animatronic’s mask will be removable and feature an adult Jason face sculpt underneath.

He also comes with his traditional machete accessory.

The new Jason Voorhees animatronic by Gemmy is expected to hit retailers for Halloween 2022.
