‘Spirit Halloween: The Movie’ Teaser Trailer Brings Animatronics to Life

After first premiering at the Spirit Halloween flagship store 2022 opening this weekend, the official teaser trailer for Spirit Halloween: The Movie has been released online, revealing some of the animatronics that come alive in the film, starring Christopher Lloyd and Rachael Leigh Cook.

Lloyd plays a wealthy land developer named Alec Windsor, who disappeared without a trace decades ago on Halloween night, and ever since his cursed spirit is said to haunt the town each year on October 31 for one hour.

Cook plays Sue, who has recently remarried after her husband passed away. When a Spirit Halloween store pops up in an abandoned strip mall, Sue’s teenage son Jake and his friends decide to spend the night there for a dare. But they get more than they bargained for when an angry spirit posses the animatronic characters inside.

Back to the Future and The Addams Family legend Christopher Lloyd and She’s All That star Rachael Leigh Cook lead the cast of Spirit Halloween, along with newcomers Donavan Colan (Zoe), Dylan Frankel (Raven’s Home), Jaiden Smith (Blue Bloods), and Marissa Reyes (Raven’s Home). Marla Gibbs (The Jeffersons, 227, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie”) also stars in the film.

This is the feature directorial debut of David Poag, from a screenplay by Billie Bates.

Here’s the official synopsis: “When a new Spirit Halloween store appears in a deserted strip mall, three middle-school friends who think they’ve outgrown trick-or-treating make a dare to spend the night locked inside the store on Halloween night. But they soon find out that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters. The kids embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves”

Spirit Halloween will be released this fall.
