Syfy Halloween Movie ‘Bring It On: Cheer or Die’ First Look Images Released
Syfy’s upcoming original spin on the popular cheerleading franchise, the Halloween horror film Bring It On: Cheer or Die is coming this fall, and the first official images surfaced online this week.
The new images, revealed at Bloody-Disgusting, provide our first look at the new cheer squads for the Diablos and Knights, featuring the movie’s leads Kerri Medders and Tiera Skovbye.
The film follows a cheer squad as they practice their routines overnight in an abandoned school during Halloween weekend, where one-by-one, the teens fall victim to a deranged assailant.
Missi Pyle (Y: The Last Man, Dirty John), Kerri Medders (Panic, SEAL Team) and Tiera Skovbye (Midnight Sun, Riverdale) star in the Syfy original movie, directed by Karen Lam (Syfy’s Ghost Wars and Van Helsing), produced by Universal 1440 Entertainment and Beacon Pictures.
The film is written by Rebekah McKendry (All the Creatures Were Stirring) and Dana Schwartz (She-Hulk) from a story by Alyson Fouse (Bring It On: Fight to the Finish), executive produced by Beacon Pictures partners Armyan Bernstein and Charlie Lyons, produced by Griff Furst (You Might be the Killer), and co-produced by Tony Gonzalez (Bring It On franchise) and C. Eve Stewart (Tales from the Hood 3).
Tony Gonzalez returns as the choreographer to create the franchise’s iconic stunts.
The Motion Picture Association (MPA) has rated Bring It On: Cheer or Die PG-13 for “violence, language, sexual material, and some drug content.”
Bring It On: Cheer or Die will premiere on non-theatrical platforms and on Syfy in October.
We expect a trailer coming soon, but until then, you can view the first official images below.
