‘Longlegs’ Creepy Marketing Continues Ahead of New Trailer Drop
If the ongoing marketing for this summer’s serial killer horror movie Longlegs is any indication, it may be the scariest film of the year.
From writer and director Osgood Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter, Gretel and Hansel), starring Nicolas Cage (Renfield, Arcadian) and Maika Monroe (The Guest, It Follows), in the film, FBI Agent Lee Harker (Monroe) is a gifted new recruit assigned to the unsolved case of an elusive serial killer (Cage). As the case takes complex turns, unearthing evidence of the occult, Harker discovers a personal connection to the merciless killer and must race against time to stop him before he claims the lives of another innocent family.
Alicia Witt (“The Walking Dead”) and Blair Underwood (“American Crime Story”) also star.
Neon has released a series of increasingly unsettling, intriguingly mysterious teasers and posters in recent weeks, all leading up to an official trailer, which we now know will drop next week.
Longlegs hits theaters on July 12.
