‘Terrifier 3’ Wraps Filming; Adds Jason Patric
After carving his way through Halloween in the last two movies, Art the Clown will slay Christmas in Terrifier 3 , and filming for the highly anticipated sequel has officially wrapped, as Jason Patric is revealed as the latest cast addition.
Deadline reports today that Jason Patric (The Lost Boys) has joined the cast in what writer/director Damien Leone calls a “pivotal role”, adding that filming officially wrapped in New York last week. A first look still of Patric in Terrifier 3 was also released today, which you can see below.
In Terrifier 3, Art the Clown is set to unleash another round of chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.
David Howard Thornton (watch our interview here) and Lauren LaVera (watch our interview here) will both reprise their roles as Art the Clown and Sienna Shaw, respectively, in the new movie. They are joined by Elliott Fullam (watch our interview here), who played Sienna’s brother Jonathan in the previous film, as well as Samantha Scaffidi, making her third appearance, having portrayed Victoria Heyes in both prior Terrifier movies. Chris Jericho, who had a cameo during the credits of Terrifier 2, will also be in Terrifier 3., as well as Daniel Roebuck (Halloween, Halloween II, 31, The Munsters; read our interview here) as Santa Claus.
The film is written and directed by Damien Leone (watch our interview here), from Dark Age Cinema Productions, with Phil Falcone as producer and Lisa Falcone acting as executive producer. Co-producers include Michael Leavy, Jason Leavy, George Steuber, and Steve Della Salla. Brad Miska, Brandon Hill, and Erick Opeka serve as executive producers for Cineverse. Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor are also executive producers.
Speaking about Patric joing the cast, Leone said, “He’s one of the best actors of his generation and has a deep respect for this franchise and his craft which is why I’m thrilled for fans to see his pivotal role in the Terrifier universe.”
Despite its Christmas setting, Terrifier 3 will open in theaters nationwide just before this Halloween, on October 11, from Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting.
