2024 Pumpkin Pie Factory Halloween Village by FG Square Unboxing, Review [Video]
FG Square has unveiled their new 2024 Halloween village collection, arriving in select stores and available to order online now, and we are excited to share our unboxing video and review of the new Animated Pumpkin Pie Manufacturing piece.
Our friends at FG Square provided HDN an early preview of their new 2024 pumpkin pie factory village addition, featuring lights, sound, and two points of movement.
Three zombies are featured at work in the pie factory, where gorgeous, giant jack o’ lantern spins atop a tower positively oozing with glorious orange pumpkin guts as it churns out fresh pies continuously rolled out on a moving conveyor belt. The entire scene is lit by LED lights along the bottom of the conveyor belt, with the big spinning jack o’ lantern very effectively glowing green from the inside, projecting its jagged carved face onto the surround walls as it rotates. The oven at the other end of the conveyor belt is also lit with two glowing skulls on top creating a bright red glow inside that simulates the heat baking the pies as they come out. The teeth on top of the oven is nice touch, as well.
There are two settings – one to display the piece with just the lights and motion turned on, and the other to display with lights, motion, and sound. The audio plays music that suggests classic horror soundtracks, though we found that we prefer to display this piece set with just the lights and motion, without the sound on. A power adapter is included, but there is no battery option, so keep in mind that this will need to be positioned somewhat near an outlet or extension cord to be activated.
The sculpting is highly detailed, especially the zombie workers, and the giant jack o’ lantern is a great looking, attention-grapping centerpiece. Unfortunately, in our case, the pumpkin broke off from its base during shipping; however, it will glue back on easily and looks great on display, remaining fully operational, even as is when we just set it on top of its tower.
