[Interview] Spider One and Krsy Fox Get Personal with ‘Little Bites’, and Talk Halloween
The new horror movie Little Bites, out now, is a deeply personal project for both its writer and director Spider One and its star Krsy Fox, and we recently talked to the husband-wife team about the even more terrifying themes of the film lurking just under the surface horror, and much more, including a preview of Krsy’s mystery role in this month’s highly anticipated Terrifier 3.
In the film, a young widow and mother, Mindy (played by Krsy Fox), desperately tries to protect her daughter Alice from the grips of a fiendish, flesh eating monster named Agyar. Mindy has been secretly sacrificing her own life by allowing the creature to slowly feast on her body as she keeps Alice hidden away at her grandmother’s home.
Written and directed by Spider One, Krsy Fox stars as Mindy, delivering the best, most powerful performance of her career so far, and she tells HDN that it was not easy to stay in the character’s mindset throughout shooting, but having her and Spider’s daughter on set helped to brighten the mood and keep her grounded.
The cast also includes horror icons Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Barbara Crampton (ReAnimator), and Bonnie Aarons (The Nun), along with Chaz Bono, Elizabeth Phoenix Caro, and Jon Sklaroff as the creature Agyar.
In teasing her role in Terrifier 3, Fox says she has never been around that much blood, “and I’ve been in horror for a long time.” She adds that they absolutely topped Terrifier 2 with the new sequel.
In our relaxed video conversation yesterday, we also discussed Halloween, as Spider recalled making haunted house mazes in the garage for the neighborhood when he and his brother, Rob Zombie, were kids.
Little Bites is currently in theaters and streaming on digital wherever you rent movies.
