[Interview] ‘Treasure Trackers’ Cast Talk Family Halloween Movie
A brand new family friendly Halloween movie, Treasure Trackers was released this week on VOD, feel good adventure that is full of fantasy and nostalgia reminiscent of Amblin classics like The Goonies, and we talked to the cast, Charity Rose, Amelia Salazar and Sean Jay, recently about what excited the most to play their outcast roles and what genre classics inspired their performances.
Treasure Trackers follows California surfer Leah, played by Charity Rose, who must relocate to the small town of Carterville, where she bands together fellow misfits Marshy (Sean Jay) and Tessa (Amelia Salazar) to track down the town’s mythic treasure. When the trio uncovers the truth behind the treasure’s Halloween curse, they must outsmart the high school troublemakers before an evil spirit is accidentally released.
When Leah learns the folklore surrounding the small town’s founders, she soon learns that hidden the gold bars are cursed by the town’s local “Raven Witch”, and it now possesses the trapped soul of the evil town founder, Silas Carter. Whoever finds the gold risks releasing Silas’ wicked spirit on the world, and the local bully and his high school friends are also on the hunt.
