[Interview] Yvonne Strahovski and Scott Speedman Talk ‘Teacup’ Horror Series, and Halloween
From James Wan’s Atomic Monster, the new horror series Teacup premieres on Peacock today, starring Yvonne Strahovski and Scott Speedman as parents navigating a strained marriage when their son goes missing, as an unknown threat arrives within their small community and people soon start dying, and we talked to them recently about what attracted them to this project, and of course a bit about what Halloween means to them and their plans for this year.
Inspired by the New York Times bestselling novel Stinger by Robert McCammon, Teacup follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive.
From modern-day master of horror and the mind behind Saw, The Conjuring, and Insidious, James Wan’s Atomic Monster produces the new series, joined by first-time showrunner Ian McCulloch (Yellowstone). Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale, Dexter, The Predator) stars, along with Scott Speedman (Underworld, Underworld: Evolution) , Chaske Spencer (Echo, The English), Rob Morgan (Smile), Caleb Dolden, and Emilie Bierre.
The first two episodes of Teacup, directed by E.L. Katz (The Haunting of Bly Manor, Channel Zero), are now streaming on Peacock, with two new episodes dropping weekly through Halloween.
