‘Devour’ Teaser Sets Vampire Metal Band vs. Cannibals on Halloween [Exclusive]

A brand new independent Halloween horror movie coming in 2025 is set to pit a heavy metal band of vampires against a town of cannibals, and HDN is excited to premiere the first official teaser trailer for Devour right here today.

From Digital Thunderdome husband-wife team, the film is directed by Scott B. Hansen (Bad Candy) from a screenplay by Desiree Hansen, based on Scott’s original story, produced by Ryan Shelor, George Elliott, Ray Heberer, and Jenin Gonzalez.

In the film, an all female vampire death metal band breaks down and becomes trapped in a town full of cannibals led by a warlock, and it all takes place on Halloween. And there are werewolves too!

Scott Hansen has confirmed to Halloween Daily News that this new film takes place in the same cinematic universe as his previous Halloween horror movie Bad Candy (read our review here).

The cast includes J. Gaven Wilde (Halloween Kills, Bad Candy, The Black Phone, The Righteous Gemstones) and Heidi Shepherd of Butcher Babies playing the leader of the film’s metal band of vampires The Virginia Bitches, along with Katelyn Newberry (Juror #2), Gus Langley, John Wells, Chelsea Lesage, and Alexandra Lucchessi.

The movie was shot at Digital Thunderdome Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, featuring a special effects team led by Wayne Anderson (Jurassic World, It, The Predator), who built all the creature suits, with a heavy focus on practical effects from Kevin Meaux and Oliver Kasiske from OX FX.

The movie currently has an indiegogo out for post production funds, which you can support here..

Devour is expected to be released in the fall of 2025.
