[Interview] Margaret Anne Florence Talks ‘Terrifier 3’, Art the Clown, and More
Terrifier 3 is the horror story of the year, defying all the odds to become the number one movie in the country on its opening weekend, introducing “Aunt Jess”, an extremely likable and believable addition to the franchise, played by Margaret Anne Florence, who told us recently that she is not a big fan of horror films and has still never seen the prior Art the Clown entries or her own character’s heartbreaking end in the frantic finale of the latest, but she is thrilled that her performance has resonated with audiences and she is loving her initiation into the fandom.
In a video conversation last week, we dove deep into the challenges of shooting such emotionally charged scenes as when Art (played by David Howard Thornton) and Vicky (Samantha Scaffidi) are terrorizing her family, bringing her maternal instincts as a real life mom into her role in the film as mother to young Gabbie (Antonella Rose), and we also of course talked about celebrating Halloween, her favorite traditions, and much more.
In the new film, after surviving Art the Clown’s Halloween massacre, Sienna and her brother are struggling to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind. But just when they think they’re safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare. The festive season quickly unravels as Art unleashes his twisted brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe.
Terrifier 3 is currently available to stream on Digital, and also to own on 4K Ultra HD, as well as Blu-ray and DVD.
