[Interview] Catherine Corcoran Talks ‘Double Take’ Premiere, “A Work of Art”, and More
Terrifier star Catherine Corcoran has been very busy since we last talked to her in early 2023, so we were thrilled for the opportunity to catch up on some of her recent projects in a new video conversation, including hosting this week’s premiere of Shout! TV’s Double Take movie double feature celebrating Women’s History Month, reuniting with David Howard Thornton‘s Art the Clown in Ice Nine Kills’ “A Work of Art” music video, and more.
Shout! TV’s Double Take is a new series where celebrity guests host and curate themed double features of films from Shout! TV’s catalog, with the hosts discussing the films and why they chose them. Catherine Corcoran (Terrifier, Return to Nuke ‘Em High) will host the first event of the series, themed around Women’s History Month, beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT on Friday, March 21.
In honor of women in film, Catherine will present K-19: The Widowmaker directed by Kathryn Bigelow, followed by Misbehaviour directed by Philippa Lowthorpe. Fans are invited to tune in for exclusive intros with Catherine, as she dives deeper into the films and what they mean to her.
Speaking via Zoom last week, we also discussed Corcoran’s recent op ed for Fangoria, an exploration into what was happening in the world at the time that more than 40 classic horror films from the last 100 years were released, and the political themes of the eras in which they were made that are embedded into each.
