Horror Comedy Set in ‘Halloween Store’ Coming from Kenan Thompson

The longest running cast member of Saturday Night Live in the show’s 50 year history, Kenan Thompson is executive producing the new horror comedy Halloween Store, set inside a costume shop on Halloween.

In the film, a group of people who find themselves trapped inside a costume store on Halloween Night with a mysterious killer on the loose, as reported today by Variety.

Simon Rex (Scary Movie 3, Halloweed, Blink Twice) and Natalie Lind (The Goldbergs, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines) star in the film, directed by Shane Dax Taylor (Murder Company), and executive produced by Kenan Thompson and John Ryan Jr. through their Artists for Artists banner. Steven Schneider (Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Split), Shane Dax Taylor, John Lind, and Bradley Sloan also executive produce.

The film is currently in post production, and Taylor indicated in an Instagram story that it will be released this Halloween.

Beyond his record setting tenure on SNL, which has included many classic Halloween bits, Thompson previously starred in the 2009 Halloween comedy Stan Helsing (pictured above).
