[Interview] Sarah Nicklin Talks ‘Popeye the Slayer Man’, Halloween, and More

Genre veteran Sarah Nicklin can be seen right now in the new horror movie Popeye the Slayer Man, and is about to be seen in a ton of other cool projects coming this year, so we were excited to welcome the busy actress to HDN recently to get the scoop on many them, and of course to talk Halloween.

In our relaxed and enjoyable video conversation earlier this week, Nicklin previewed her work in upcoming films including If It Bleeds, Pretty Boy, and Garden of Eden, while also discussing horror’s recent obsession with public domain icons, and more.

The latest in the ongoing trend of classic public domain comic characters being made into slashers, in Popeye The Slayer Man: A group of friends sneak into an abandoned spinach canning factory to film a documentary on the legend of ‘The Sailor Man,’ who is said to haunt the factory and local docks, only to find out that the legend is all-too true.

Popeye the Slayer Man is available to stream now on VOD, from Vantage Media. (Watch on Prime Video here.)
