Spirit Halloween Confirms 1,500 Stores Opening, 2025 Teaser Revealed

Spirit Halloween has announced that its annual flagship store grand opening event has been canceled for 2025, but confirms that more that 1,500 stores are currently on track to open this year starting in mid-August.

On Thursday, May 22, Spirit Halloween posted the following statement on social media: “Our teams have been working around the clock to bring back the ultimate Spirit Halloween experience. Unfortunately, the international disruptions and supply chain challenges have thrown a wrench in our opening plans. As a result, we are forced to cancel the Egg Harbor Township grand opening event – but we intend to bring this event back next year. In the meantime, Spirit Halloween is still very much alive, with over 1,500 stores on track to open! We will begin opening stores in mid-August for another killer season. The engines are on, and we’re full speed ahead. Stay tuned, the best is yet to come.”

On Friday morning, May 23, Spirit then dropped its first official teaser video for 2025, previewing this year’s in store theme, “Madison Scare Park,” a creepy take on New York City with lots of news headlines and quick flashes of imagery about a giant rat from the sewer on a rampage.
