A24’s ‘Crystal Lake’ Rounds Out Cast, About to Begin Filming

Today is his birthday, so it’s only fitting that we have some exciting news on the upcoming Friday the 13th revival, as the much anticipated, long delayed Crystal Lake series in development from A24 for Peacock has announced some of the main cast members set to join Linda Cardellini’s Pamela Voorhees, including another legacy character from the original 1980 slasher movie that started it all.

Joining the previously announced Linda Cardellini (Scooby-D00) as Jason’s mother Mrs. Voorhees and William Catlett (Abigail) as a new character named Levon Brooks, series regulars also include Cameron Scoggins (Nashville) as Dorf, the police officer portrayed by Ron Millkie in the original Friday the 13th, as well as Devin Kessler (Godfather of Harlem) as Briana Brooks, and Gwendolyn Sundstrom as Grace.

Pre-production is well underway, as writer, showrunner, and executive producer Brad Caleb Cane has been sharing some cool updates on Instagram, included an early shot of Pamela’s living room set under construction and a familiar bike fans of the original film will recognize, which you can see below.

Stay tuned for updates on Crystal Lake.
