‘The Jester 2’ Teaser Brings Halloween Slasher Back for Another Trick
The Halloween slasher sequel The Jester 2 is coming to theaters for two nights this September, and the first official teaser trailer has just dropped. Read on for today’s official announcement.
Epic Pictures’ specialty horror label DREAD proudly presents The Jester 2, coming to theatres nationwide with a special two-night screening event in collaboration with Fathom Entertainment, the leading specialty distributor of content to theatrical partners worldwide.
The masked killer, The Jester, returns in a deadly game where surviving means outwitting a killer who’s truly magic. From his first introduction in Colin Krawchuk’s viral short films, to the beloved feature film The Jester, the eerie killer has enthralled audiences and developed a cult following. In this highly anticipated sequel, audiences can look forward to an even deeper descent into the twisted mind of The Jester.
The two-night Fathom Entertainment theatrical release will include an exclusive look at the making of The Jester 2, with a behind-the-scenes featurette. Join director Colin Krawchuk, and the entire cast, as they reveal how the chilling sequel was brought to life, complete with cast interviews, on-set footage, and a deep dive into the creation of the film’s most terrifying moments. Fans won’t want to miss this special look behind the curtain, which can only be seen on the big screen.

The film is a DREAD original production in association with Traverse Terror and produced by Patrick Ewald, Cole Payne and Jake Heineke, fully financed from production to distribution by the independent studio. The distribution partnership with Fathom Entertainment was negotiated by Yulissa Morales of Epic Pictures.

The official synopsis for the film reads: On Halloween night, teen magician Max finds herself locked in a brutal showdown with the Jester, a nightmarish and supernatural trickster with real dark magic and a killer act. As illusions turn lethal and every escape is a trap, Max must pull off the ultimate trick: staying alive. On this deadly night, the only escape… is to beat the devil at its own game.
The filmis written and directed by Colin Krawchuk (The Jester), starring Michael Sheffield (The Jester), Kaitlyn Trentham (Murder Made Me Famous, Within The Woods), Jessica Ambuehl (Becoming, The Dream Motel), and Dingani Beza (23 Minutes to Sunrise, Marshall’s Miracle). It is produced by Patrick Ewald, Cole Payne, and Jake Heineke.
The Jester 2 will play in theaters for two nights only, on September 15 and September 16. Tickets will be available on August 15 at Fathom Entertainment and participating theatre box offices (theater locations are subject to change).
