‘Pumpkin Fest Riot’ Halloween Horror Novel Cover Revealed, Up for Pre-Order
A new Halloween-set horror novel, Pumpkin Fest Riot by E.V. Dean is coming for Christmas 2025, available now for pre-order, and the cover art has been revealed.
The new novel is part of author E.V. Dean’s The Beatrix Brighton Chronicles series.
From the official synopsis: Dr. Beatrix Brighton thought Robin, New Hampshire would be the perfect place to lay low. As a world-renowned demonologist hiding behind the mundane facade of a history professor, she’s spent years running from the darkness that seems to follow her everywhere. But when a priceless artifact—the Stone of One Thousand Souls—is stolen from her classroom just days before Halloween, Beatrix realizes she can’t outrun her past any longer.
What starts as a simple theft quickly spirals into something far more sinister. Strange incidents plague the small college town: students descend into inexplicable rage, respected citizens commit acts of shocking violence, and an annual beloved tradition—Pumpkin Fest—becomes ground zero for an ancient evil awakening.
When eighteen-year-old Lucy Lemon, a brilliant and fearless freshman, witnesses the supernatural forces at work, she refuses to stay silent. Despite Beatrix’s warnings, Lucy is determined to save her town, even if it means facing demons that most people can’t even see. Together with Lucy’s loyal friend Otto, they must navigate small-town politics, academic prejudice, and forces darker than any textbook has ever described.
But as Halloween night approaches and thousands of visitors descend on Robin for Pumpkin Fest, Beatrix discovers that some stones are better left unturned, some truths are too dangerous to speak, and some sacrifices are too great to bear. The question isn’t whether they can stop what’s coming—it’s whether anyone will survive to remember what happened.
Pumpkin Fest Riot will be released on Kindle on December 3.
