[Interview] Eden Campbell and Jason Brooks Talk Halloween Slasher ‘Die’ced: Reloaded’

An expanded version of the previously released short film Die’ced, the Halloween horror feature film Die’ced: Reloaded hits VOD this week, and we talked to the film’s leads, Eden Campbell and Jason Brooks, about bringing a new slasher to life, their genre inspirations, and more.

In our recent video conversation, we also discussed Brooks’ work behind the camera as special effects designer and creating the killer Benny’s unique scarecrow costume, and of course we talked about Halloween itself and what the greatest holiday of all means to each of them in their personal lives.

Writer and director Jeremy Rudd‘s 1980s-set slasher feature expands upon his 2023 viral short film Die’ced.

In the film: Seattle, Halloween night, 1987. Benny – an infamous serial killer long thought contained – breaks free from a high-security asylum, reborn behind a twisted scarecrow mask. As he leaves a trail of carnage across the suburbs, whispers of his gruesome past resurface, fueling panic in a city soaked in neon and fear. But Benny isn’t just killing for pleasure – he’s hunting someone. A young woman unknowingly tied to the darkest chapter of his madness becomes his fixation, and the closer he gets, the bloodier it gets. Die’ced: Reloaded delivers a brutal, synth-drenched slasher soaked in 1980s nostalgia, where Benny carves his place in horror history – one body at a time.

Written and directed by Jeremy Rudd (Burning Sands, The Fetus), the feature film stars Eden Campbell (Fear Street: Part Two — 1978), Jason Brooks (The Death of Snow White), and Nigel Vona (The Chronicles of Riddick).

Die’ced: Reloaded begins streaming on VOD on August 12, before arriving on Blu-ray on October 14.
