A24 Halloween Action Thriller ‘October’ Adds Chase Sui Wonders and Sophie Wilde
A24 is in production on the new Halloween movie October, described as a horror action thriller, as two recent genre standouts, Chase Sui Wonders (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Sophie Wilde (Talk To Me), have joined the cast.
Chase Sui Wonders currently stars in this year’s I Know What You Did Last Summer and The Studio, while Sophie Wilde stars in A24’s acclaimed film Talk To Me.
Wonders and Wilde join the previously announced Cory Michael Smith (Gotham, Saturday Night), who has been cast in a leading role in A24’s “genre thriller,” as first reported by Deadline.
Plot details and any information on characters are being kept under wraps at this time, but sources have described the film is “a fugitive thriller set during Halloween.”
Jeremy Saulnier (Green Room, Rebel Ridge) will direct from his own script, with A24 producing and financing the project.
Rich Peete (Neighborhood Watch), Eli Bush (Central), and Jeremy Saulnier and Skei Saulnier (Niteowl Films) will produce, with Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie (Central), Traci Carlson and Elliott Coley (Neighborhood Watch), and Macon Blair (Bonneville Pictures) executive producing.
