A24 Halloween Action Thriller ‘October’ Adds Imogen Poots and More
A24 is currently in production on the new Halloween-set movie October, described as a horror action thriller, with more cast members, including Imogen Poots, James Badge Dale, and Matty Matheson, recently announced.
For Imogen Poots (Black Christmas, pictured above) this marks a reunion with her Green Room director Jeremy Saulnier.
Poots, as well as James Badge Dale (The Pacific) and Matty Matheson (The Bear) join the previously announced Cory Michael Smith (Gotham, Saturday Night), Chase Sui Wonders (I Know What You Did Last Summer), Sophie Wilde (Talk To Me), Stanley Simons (The Iron Claw), Young Mazino (The Last of Us), and Stephen Root (Barry) in A24’s “genre thriller,” as first reported by Deadline.
Plot details and any information on characters are being kept under wraps at this time, but sources have described the film is “a fugitive thriller set during Halloween.”
Written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier (Green Room, Rebel Ridge), October is currently in production, with A24 producing and financing the project.
Rich Peete (Neighborhood Watch), Eli Bush (Central), and Jeremy Saulnier and Skei Saulnier (Niteowl Films) produce, with Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie (Central), Traci Carlson and Elliott Coley (Neighborhood Watch), and Macon Blair (Bonneville Pictures) executive producing.
