[Interview] Rock Artist Lily Löwe Talks “Haunted House” and Halloween in Norway
Norwegian rock artist Lily Löwe dropped her newest song “Haunted House” just in time for Halloween, the latest in a run of propulsive, rebellious single releases ready for arena crowds to help elevate their anthemic choruses, and we talked to the singer recently about her musical origins and horror inspirations, and got the scoop on details of her upcoming album, Beautiful Disaster, coming in early 2026.
In a our video conversation last week, also talked about creating the stunning photo for “Haunted House,” featuring Löwe suffocating under a sheet of clear plastic, an image straight out of a horror movie, which she explains was all her idea as the literal visualization of what the song is about for her, and she did not mind suffering a bit to realize her vision.
We also of course talked Halloween and Lily’s memories of the holiday growing up in Norway, where trick or treating and other Hallowed traditions that we hold so dear have only begun to gain popularity among young Norwegians in recent years.
Lily Löwe’s single “Haunted House” is out now, and her upcoming album Beautiful Disaster drops on February 6, 2026.
