[Interview] Alex McColl on Playing ‘Heart Eyes’ Killer, Sequel Hopes, and Halloween
The Valentine’s Day slasher Heart Eyes is one year old, marking its first February as undoubted annual viewing for many horror fans, and so we talked to the film’s man behind the killer mask, stunt performer Alex McColl, about his memories from the set, how the audience response this past year has changed his life, his thoughts on and hopes for the inevitable sequel, and more.
In our video conversation earlier this week, we also of course discussed celebrating Halloween in the U.K. where Alex was born and in New Zealand where he now calls home.
In Heart Eyes: “For the past several years, the “Heart Eyes Killer” has wreaked havoc on Valentine’s Day by stalking and murdering romantic couples. This Valentine’s Day, no couple is safe.”
