Halloween International Film Festival Returns to Outer Banks October 2026

Halloween Daily News is excited to exclusively announce that the Halloween International Film Festival will return October 23-24, 2026, once again taking place on North Carolina’s haunted and historic Outer Banks.

Film submissions for 2026 are now open on FilmFreeway! 

The call for entries officially opened this past Friday the 13th, accepting horror and Halloween-themed independent shorts and feature film submissions from around the world for consideration to be included in the 2026 program.

In addition to the selected shorts and feature films that are screened, the festival also showcases Q&A panels with attending filmmakers, nightly meet and greets, photo ops on the Orange Carpet, and more.
