Ice Nine Kills’ Spencer Charnas Cast in ‘Halloween’ Video Game
Michael Myers is coming to your home to stalk your consoles this year in the upcoming Halloween video game, and among the new blood we’ll meet in this digital Haddonfield, Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas has been cast in the game.
Dread Central reports this week that Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills has been cast in an unknown role in the upcoming Halloween video game. He could be voicing one of the new playable civilian characters in multiplayer mode, or possibly a non-playable character who encounters The Shape in singleplayer mode.
There is no word yet on if this means Ice Nine Kills will contribute new music for the game, but we would venture a guess that it is very likely. The horror metal band has released many songs directly about our favorite genre movies, including “Stabbing in the Dark”, their ode to John Carpenter’s Halloween.
Most recently, Ice Nine Kills has written and released original songs that appeared hit horror films Terrifier 3 (“A Work of Art”) and Scream 7 (“Twisting the Knife”).
Players will be able to become The Shape in the game, with a unique stalking “Shape Jump” ability that allows Michael Myers to vanish and reappear, as he does in the movies.
In the highly anticipated video game, Michael Myers will once again be played by the original Shape actor Nick Castle, as well as actor and stuntman T.J. Storm, working together performing the motion capture to bring The Shape to life.
With Malek Akkad producing and John Carpenter as executive producer, Halloween will be published by IllFonic, co-published by Gun Interactive, in partnership with Compass International Pictures and Further Front, coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and Epic Game Stores.
Halloween will be released on September 8, 2026.
