‘Scary Movie’ 2026 Trailer Spoofs ‘Halloween’, ‘Terrifier 3’, ‘Scream 6’, and More
The official trailer for the upcoming horror comedy relaunch, now simply titled Scary Movie (previously announced as Scary Movie 6) debuted in theaters playing with Scream 7 over the weekend, and it has now been released online, hilariously cutting down every franchise in its path, leaving no safe space, and confirming a Halloween setting.
The trailer spoofs recent horror movies, including Scream 6, Halloween (2018), Terrifier 3, M3GAN, Ma, Sinners, and many others.
The trailer also features quick shots of a Halloween party, the kids from Weapons running around in costumes with trick or treat pails, and a recreation of Scream 6‘s slasher costume crowded Halloween subway scene, confirming that at least part of the film takes place during Halloween, as in the original 2000 Scary Movie.
The official synopsis: “Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.”
Marlon Wayans reunites with his brother Shawn Wayans, and returning stars Anna Faris and Regina Hall, reprising their roles from previous Scary Movie films, along with Dave Sheridan, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Lochlyn Munroe, Anthony Anderson, and Jon Abrahams.
New blood joining the fun includes Heidi Gardner, Sydney Park (Halloween Store), Savannah Lee Nassif, Olivia Rose Keegan, Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans, and Felissa Rose (Terrifier 2, Sleepaway Camp).
Scary Movie arrives in theaters on June 12.
